SkinTyte II BBL is a unique and advanced nonsurgical treatment using infrared light to give you firmer, tighter and younger-looking skin.
At The Skin Company, we use the SkinTyte II™️ technology to deeply heat dermal collagen with infrared light, which effectively induces the body’s natural collagen and elastin production while using sapphire contact cooling to protect your epidermis.
This quick and comfortable treatment has very little associated recovery time and is perfect for the face, neck, stomach or arms - areas that can lose elasticity as we age.
Loose or sagging skin can be a common and difficult concern to address. The elasticity of our skin relies on healthy collagen and elastin fibres, which hold the skin taut and pull it back into place. In the short term, the effects of the SkinTyte II treatment are an immediate tightening due to thermal exposure, resulting in a contraction of existing collagen and elastin fibres.
Over time, this treatment encourages the production of the new collagen and elastin and other components within the skin. This can occur for up to six months after the initial treatment. This skin remodelling process results in improvement in skin firmness and laxity.

Before beginning treatment, we will guide you through a full consultation to thoroughly discuss your concerns and to ensure that the SkinTyte skin tightening process is the correct option for your particular requirements.
Once a treatment plan has been decided, you will be provided with safety goggles or glasses to protect your eyes. As light is absorbed by certain areas of your skin, you can expect to experience a a warm and prickly sensation. Your skin will be heated to the required temperature, which will then be sustained until the treatment is complete.
Depending on the size of the area that is being treated, you can expect this procedure to last for 30 - 60 minutes. As with other BBL treatment options, the technology used in SkinTyte is very advanced, which means that the filters can also be used on higher risk skin types (such as darker skin) without the risk of significant complications.

After your procedure, you will notice redness and warmth to the treated skin, however it is generally expected that you will be able to return to work and your regular schedule straight away.
Redness to your skin may last a few hours. It is important to note that your results depend on the initial condition of your skin, the number of treatments performed, the particular areas treated and how well you are able to follow our aftercare schedule, lifestyle changes and home skincare recommendations.
Makeup can be applied but The Skin Company recommends that you avoid any excess heat, heavy exercise and sun exposure.

We recommend three treatment sessions every four weeks, as a base schedule, with maintenance sessions to follow on, to counteract your body’s natural loss of collagen and elastin.
The Skin Company recommends that you avoid heavy exercise immediately following your procedure and that comprehensive sun protection is required and essential to achieve optimal results following your BBL Forever Young treatment.
