The Excel V+ is a versatile non-invasive vascular laser that combines two wavelengths of light to deliver targeted pulses of laser energy to the skin. These pulses of energy cause blood vessels to narrow and eventually collapse, resulting in their gradual disappearance over time
The Excel V+ 532nm wavelength is used to focus on the superficial network of vessels, while the 1064nm wavelength targets the deeper network. These two options combined with the unique cooling system deployed by this technology, allow for safer and more precise delivery, minimising risk and optimising results, which can restore and revitalise your skin, without the need to allow time for recovery.

You will be provided with goggles to protect your eyes. Before your treatment, the procedure will include skin cleansing, followed by a gel applied to the area that will be treated.
The appropriate ExcelV+ laser will be selected and the treatment settings will be customised to target the colour and depths of your skin concern. Most treatments are comfortable and fast lasting between 10-30 minutes depending on the area treated. Results are typically seen after a series of one to three treatment sessions.
Excel V+ treatments can feel similar to a quick rubber band snap against the skin. Some discomfort, which may include a feeling of burning, may be experienced. during the treatment. Depending on the procedure a cool treatment tip will be in contact with the skin to protect and provide additional comfort to the area. A topical anaesthetic may be available to improve your treatment experience.

Typically you can wear make up and return to normal activities immediately. Short term redness and/or swelling can be expected following treatment. Short term bruising may occur. For full face treatments swelling will peak at 24 to 48 hours post treatment and usually resolves within a few days. We may recommend a topical steroid to reduce swelling as needed. Treated brown spots will darken following the treatment and crust off within 3 to 5 days.

Swelling may be experienced for 2-5 days following treatment.
You may notice small areas of bruising, which may last for approximately 7-10 days. There is little downtime and aside from some redness and dryness, many of our clients return to work the following day. The amount of down time required depends on the particular course of skin needling that has been recommended to address your concerns.
It is important to follow your aftercare instructions and not to try to remove dry skin in the area of the treatment as this can increase the chance of problems such as scarring and infection. We also recommend that you wear and apply protective covering for your skin to avoid exposure to the sun and that you avoid any active skin care remedies (such as vitamin A) until advised by The Skin Company, to prevent interference with the post-procedure healing process.
